The essay made into an object through furniture, lamps, and pieces.

It has always struck me that an entire industry exists around flowers so that we can appreciate their last days of life, knowing that, soon after, they will die.
Essay on the Ephemeral is born from a sustained practice of observing natural matter beyond its moment of splendor. The exhibition is built from fragments from two spaces of contemplation: Artistería, my flower workshop and botanical laboratory, and my observational walks.

At Artistería, I collect petals, stems, flowers, and plant elements that remain after arrangement. From this archive comes Botanical Constellations: pieces where the flower is suspended and encapsulated as a material memory of the moment.

Imagined Landscapes arise from walks of contemplation and collection. On this occasion, the collection starts from Chapultepec Forest and a spelt field. Pinus Ayacahuite and spelt spurs are arranged on the surface to construct landscapes of the imagination: compositions made from the landscape itself.

These pieces seek the pause that accompanies the transformation of nature. They invite you to transform your space and integrate botany. They are an archive of what was, what changes, and what, in some way, continues to be.
