The Story Behind the Bespoke Vivo por Siempre

When Artistería started, times were complicated. I had been working with flowers and events for several years with a company called Dos Sofías. I founded it with my mom: she did catering and I did flowers.

The hustle and bustle of weddings and events tired me out, and I decided to open a new line: an online flower shop to provide home delivery service. I named it Artistería because, if a florist's is where they work with flowers, Artistería is an artist's home.

I've never been one to do things the traditional way—and not to be contrary—sometimes thinking differently even complicates my life more. I don't know if I was always like this or if I trained my mind to look for opportunities and make a difference.

One of the books that has most marked my career is Hit Makers, by Derek Thompson. His theory is simple and powerful:

"What is familiar is what we like, but what is a little new is what we love."

That phrase perfectly summarizes what happened with the bouquet that made us famous.

The Bouquet That Put Us on the Map

The Bespoke Vivo por Siempre was the bouquet that appeared on all social media and in magazines. It's enormous—almost a meter long with its wrapping—combining fresh and dried flowers, so that when the fresh ones wilt, the others continue to decorate your home... living forever.

It's called that because, at first, we made it completely bespoke: we chose the flowers and colors based on your home, your style, your story.

I designed it as a bouquet because there's nothing more beautiful than a person with flowers in their hands. It's more personal than a vase. It has romance, art, and design. These are bouquets meant to leave you speechless... and immodestly, they are the most beautiful in Mexico.

What Does This Say About Us and Our Customers?

Here's the surprise: the bouquet we sell the most is not the Vivo por Siempre. In reality, there's a tie between Gama de Berries and Me gusta quererte. Both are smaller, with pink and purple tones, sweet, feminine, and perfect for any occasion.

Why? Here's my theory: because they are familiar. They aren't intimidating. They are what most people look for when they want to "make a good impression": pretty, classic, and safe.

But here's where it gets interesting.

The people who follow Artistería are probably drawn by the product that made us famous. However, they prefer to buy something safer, even if they love it. From this was born the beginning of a brand: elegantly controversial.

The one that sells the most, on the other hand, is for those who prefer not to take too many risks, but still want their flowers to carry our stamp: elegant, refined, artistic, and with attention to every detail.

Because in the end, people who follow Artistería do so because they connect with the soul of the artist: with those who dare to step outside the conventional.

We love both bouquets. Both tell a story. Both are Artistería.

And you, if you had to choose, which would you pick?
